James Basnett is the CEO at Shape Immersive, a metaverse Studio which was acquired in May 2022 by Alpha Metaverse, a publicly traded metaverse gaming portfolio. He is also the founder at Safer, a smart crypto wallet that uses AI to protect consumers from crypto scams, high gas prices. He is a Web3 investor at Curo VC and previously Chief Strategy Officer at Momentus, an emerging technology lab for retail and media, which was acquired in 2018 by Cognizant Softvision. He built the initial blockchain practice at Cognizant Softvision.
